Bimurto began with a simple refusal, to accept that traditional craft belongs only in the past.
I'm Irene. I design every piece that carries the Bimurto name, not from a studio full of assistants but from the loom up, working directly with weavers who have practiced this craft for generations. I started with sarees, and now I'm venturing into kurtis, one-pieces, and two-pieces too.
If you're here thinking this is a "sustainable fashion" story, you're in the wrong place. This is about understanding that tradition, done right, is the most contemporary choice you can make.
You don't buy a Bimurto piece just to complete an outfit. You buy to make a statement, that generational expertise isn't quaint, it's superior, and that the future belongs to people who refuse to choose between heritage and now.
Every piece begins on the loom, in hands that have woven this way for decades, then finds its final shape under my eye, where heritage motifs meet a distinctly modern silhouette.
The Loom
Every piece is handwoven, never mass-produced. What takes a machine an hour takes our weavers days.
The Edit
We release small collections, not endless catalogs. Each design retires once its run is complete and is never restocked.
The Relationship
Every inquiry comes straight to me. No call centers, no scripts, just a real conversation about your piece. That's also why the community exists, it's where this conversation continues.
Ordering, delivery & returns
How do I order?
Browse the collection here or on Facebook, then confirm the piece and your details directly over WhatsApp or Messenger.
What payment methods do you accept?
We don't use an online payment gateway. Within Bangladesh, pay cash on delivery (COD), or in advance via bKash or direct bank transfer. Ordering from abroad, send bKash payment through a money transfer service like Wise, Remitly, Taptap Send, or Western Union. Every order is confirmed over WhatsApp or Messenger before it's dispatched.
How long does delivery take?
Deliveries within Bangladesh go through Pathao courier, on their standard delivery timeline. International orders are sent via Bangladesh Post, FedEx, or a similar carrier depending on destination, so timing varies by the service used.
What is your return and exchange policy?
Please inspect your piece for defects in front of the delivery agent at the moment of delivery. If there's a genuine defect, decline it on the spot and we'll make it right. Exchanges follow the same process, if the reason is a valid one, raise it with the delivery agent right then. Either way, the piece must be handed back in its original packaging and condition, with no additional damage.
A note on our look
2021 – 2026
2026 onwards
We refreshed our look in 2026. If you've followed us since the early days, this is still the same Irene and the same loom, just a clearer name on the door.
